5 Days Amboseli, Nakuru & Maasai Mara safari

The highlight of this safari takes you through a Balloon ride in the world famous Maasai Mara, this is an extraordinary adventure experience, imagine floating in hot air balloon over Maasai Mara Game reserve, it offers a unique perspective, great viewing and photographic opportunities of the amazing scenery and wildlife below. Balloon safaris are a romantic and evocative way of experiencing the wilderness of East Africa, as you gracefully and silently fly over the plains teeming with herds of wild life in the early morning. Typically, a balloon safari begins between 6 a.m. and lasts for around 1-2 hours, during which you will likely see the magnificent wildlife below over several square kilometers of the game park.

Day 1: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI GAME RESERVE.
You will be met by our representatives from the airport for a complete safari briefing later depart Nairobi to Amboseli Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge; later proceed for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Reserve is famous for its big game including large herds of elephants as well as great scenic beauty. The entire landscape is dominated by Mt Kilimanjaro; the park is renowned for its huge herds of free ranging elephant.  Herds of up to 100 strong elephants can easily be seen drinking from the surface springs. The African elephant and the Amboseli bull elephants have some of the largest tusks of all elephants in Africa. Dinner and overnight at the lodge: FB

Day 2: AMBOSELI – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Early morning breakfast at the lodge, enroute game drive as you depart to Lake Nakuru via the scenic Great Rift Valley, a brief stop at the view point to get a view /take photos of the Great Rift Valley later continue with your safari. Feast your eyes on an unending flow of hundreds of bird species at this world famous pink lake arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. As you drive to the lodge, guest will have the opportunity to experience the vegetation and feel the calmness of Lake Nakuru from a distance. After lunch depart for a game drive as the park is home to stunning flocks of lesser flamingos which literary turns the lake shores into a magnificent pink stretch, here most birds that breed in the lakes Alkaline waters can be seen (over 450 species of birds) and wildlife are also common here.

This lake offers one of the world's most spectacular wildlife sights that of brilliant pink flamingos as far as the eye can see. Apart from the flamingos, Lake Nakuru is one of the best places to view leopards, black rhinos and lions. The park also has large sized python snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can be seen crossing the tracks or dangling from trees. Overnight at the lodge:

Day 3: NAKURU – MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Early morning breakfast, later check out from the hotel and set off for the highlight of your trip to the world famous Maasai Mara.  You drive past extinct volcanoes on the bottom of the Rift Valley floor as you depart Maasai Mara rated Seventh wonder of the world. The horizon fills Maasai Mara with 1.5 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 500,000 Thompson’s gazelle, followed closely by Africa’s great predators such as the lions, cheetahs, hyenas etc.  Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive in Kenya's most popular game reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds too are prolific. Thomson's and Grant's gazelle, Topi and Eland and many more species of plains' game offer a rich choice of food for the dominant predators; lion, leopard and cheetah which hunt in this pristine wilderness. In the Mara River, hippo submerges at the approach of a vehicle only to surface seconds later to snort and boast their presence. Seemingly, the drowsy crocodile sunbathe on the riverbanks, mouth agape, and waiting with subtle cunning for prey at which to strike with lightning swiftness. Overnight at the lodge: Full Board

Day 4: Maasai Mara Game reserve Balloon safari
Your sound sleep will be interrupted around 5am, when you will be collected from your accommodation and driven to the launch site. After your briefing, you can watch the inflation of your balloon. Then you are loaded aboard, for take off at around 6:15am. The balloon takes off and rises into the early morning sky as the sun is rising on the horizon. Soon you will be high in the air drifting over the savannah and feel a million miles from the world that you know. Suspended in a basket beneath the colorful canopy, you are in for a game-viewing adventure with an entirely different perspective on a one hour flight over the Maasai Mara, the land of breathtaking scenery. The thing that amazes most first-time balloonists is the absolute stillness, the silence as you float above the plains, the forest and the rivers of the Maasai Mara. One of the most fascinating ways to see Kenya's Maasai Mara is from a Hot-Air Balloon. Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Lions and many other animals living in this part of Africa are a superb bonus to the experience of hot-air ballooning in Kenya. This is an exhilarating sight to observe the animals in an undisturbed environment. It's traditional to climax a Balloon trip with a luxurious bush champagne breakfast served on tables set out on the savannah. Day 5: Departure
Early morning game drive, later return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast check out from the hotel and depart to Nairobi to connect to your flight back home.
