Day1: Arrival Entebbe Airport
Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, meet our professional guide to welcome to Uganda the pearl of Africa, endowed with great tourism resources. Thereafter transfer to Kampala at your hotel and check in. If your arrival time is early enough we shall take Kampala city Buganda cultural trail to Kasubi Tombs, Uganda museum, Baha’i Temple, Namugongo shrine. Return to Cassia lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: H/B
After breakfast drive to Jinja, stop at Ssezibwa falls to experience the cultural legendary tale of this brother River with Mubeya that flows eastwards and from here you will know why it flows that way as it unique history, these two Rivers are human born and this site is managed under the management of Buganda Kingdom, and after visit the source of the Nile, drive into typical Busoga region to visit the Bigwala troupe musical centre and experience the cultural performance. After drive to Mbale Resort/Mount Elgon Hotel for dinner and overnight. Meal plan: F/B
Day3: Bugisu culture-Soroti
After breakfast, visit the Bagisu cultural performance like the imbalu, kadodi, and lunch after visit the Nyero rock paint and experience the legendary historical information about the rock. Dinner and overnight at Soroti Hotel, Meal plan: F/B
After breakfast, drive to Karamoja visiting the historical for the interesting information about this hill, if we are still have time take matheniko walk, Dinner and overnight at Moroto Hotel, Meal plan: F/B
Day5: Visit Matheniko
After breakfast, visit the matheniko in the highlands of the Karamoja, we shall spend full with this tribe learning more about the matheniko, we shall visit like 6 families today and we shall understand their history, the way they live in community, the way they eat and much more social life of the matheniko. Day6: Visit Gear tribe
After breakfast, visit the gears tribe, the cattle keepers and we shall visit like 6 families to understand more about their cultural history, they will explain to you the meaning of the scars they have on their bodies, the way they live, they eat and behaviors. Day7 & 8: Visit Dodoth tribe
After breakfast, visit the Dodoth and learn more about their culture, visit several families and learn the idea why they pin in their mouth, these are cattle keepers and are proud group in Uganda and Karamoja from others. The following day we shall visit the IK tribe, a small tribe in Uganda and they live in Mountains of Karamoja which borders Uganda Turkana. This group is vegetarians and eats honey, this group live long because of all the time they eat vegetables and honey and they are proud that the oldest person in Uganda are only found at this area.
Day9, 10, 11, 12: Kidepo
- Wildlife viewing-game drives, game walks
- Lokajong caves in Karenga
- Hiking on Morungole and Labwor Mountains combined with cultural visits to Ik people
- Kanangorok hot springs
- Overnight stay at Kidepo Valley National Park and camping on Mt. Morungole
Day13: Visit Acholi Land Culture
Day14, 15: Gulu-Murchison Falls National Park
Day16: Shoe bill stork search & Rhino Tracking
After breakfast, drive the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is also home to over 250 bird species and is a great sport for avid birders interested in finding those rare African species. Our experienced bird guides will enable you enjoy this experience. Lunch, after go for Rhino Tracking, the sanctuary provides trained rangers who will ably guide you through this expedition. You will have the opportunity to observe the rhinos at a very close and safe distance. While at the sanctuary you will also encounter a range of other wildlife species including Uganda Kobs, bush bucks, oribi, rich bucks, hippos and crocodiles. Day17: Return Kampala/Entebbe
You will have another city tour to see more cultural sites after breakfast and later be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
