12 Days 11 nights Grand Kenya Safari

This is a tour of life time with highlights of fascinations of nature. We will traverse across Kenya from the snow capped mountains; Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Kenya, through world re-known bird havens, hot springs and geysers that are situated along the Great rift valley to the Maasai Mara, a park well known for the migration of wildebeest; the seventh wonder of the world.  On our tour you will have a good glimpse of all sorts of the game including elephants, buffaloes; cheetahs and leopards that will be well tacked in camouflaged backdrops.

Day 1: Nairobi / Tsavo West
Upon arrival you will be met by Traveller’s Square Tours representative for a complete safari briefing later depart to Tsavo west National park and explore some of the birdlife and wildlife found in the park. The Park is famous for the “red elephants”, and also the Mzima Springs where hippos and fish can be seen in crystal clear water that has filtered underground from Chyulu Hills gushing below a lava ridge into a series of clear pools. This park contains a diversity of habitats and mountainous scenic landscape, birdlife and wildlife making it one of the best destinations to visit. Dinner and overnight at the lodge: FB

Day 2: Tsavo West
After a refreshing night's sleep, have an early morning breakfast. With a full day in this park, you enjoy two game drives (Morning and afternoon) exploring the park. Most common wildlife found in this park include the leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, plains game, crocodile and small mammals including mongoose,hyrax, dik dik and the nocturnal procupine. It is an excellent park for visitors who enjoy walking, offering a number of nature trails and the opportunity to explore the Chaimu volcanic crater. Mzima Springs is a star attraction, a series of four natural springs; Mzima is one of Tsavo's most popular wildlife attractions owing to its large populations of hippos and Nile crocodiles. Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli
Early morning breakfast at the lodge later depart to Amboseli. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge; later proceed for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Reserve is renowned for its huge herds of free ranging elephant. Herds of up to 100 strong elephants can easily be seen drinking from the surface springs. Day 4: Amboseli
Morning breakfast at the lodge. Enjoy a full game drive in the park exploring some of the birdlife and wildlife found in the park. The African elephant is the largest land animals of earth and the Amboseli bull elephants have some of the largest tusks of all elephants on Africa, its located at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, its small size and its fragile ecosystem supports a wide range of mammals, well over 50 of the larger species, and birds with over 400 species, The snows of Mount Kilimanjaro, white and crystalline, form a majestic backdrop to one of Kenya's most spectacular displays of wildlife - lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo and hosts of plains' game, creating Kenya's most sought after photographer's parades. Day 5. Amboseli – Mount Kenya
Early morning breakfast, later depart from the hotel and drive to Mount Kenya National with lunch on your way. Later followed by an afternoon game drive, Mt. Kenya National Park is located to the east of the Great Rift Valley, The ecosystem lies in Central and Eastern provinces of Kenya. Mount Kenya is Africa's second highest mountain.

 While the highest peaks Batian (5200m) and Nelion (5188m) require some technical climbing, Lenana (4985m) is the peak trekkers head to. It’s described as one of the most impressive landscapes in Eastern Africa with its rugged glacier-clad summits, Afroalpine moorlands and diverse forests that illustrate outstanding ecological processes. Day 6: Mount Kenya National Park.
After breakfast enjoy a full day game viewing at the park. Attractions found are Pristine wilderness, lakes, tarns, glaciers and peaks of great beauty, geological variety, forest,mineral springs, rare and endangered species of animals, Unique montane and alpine vegetation with 11 species of endemic plants. Wildlife commonly found are Elephants which share the forests and bamboo belts with black and white Columbus and Sykes monkeys, olive baboons and giant forest hog. The rarely seen and elusive bongo and suni antelopes, leopard, black rhino and buffalo are also found here. Over 130 bird species have been recorded here. Dinner and overnight at the lodge: FB

Day 7: Mount Kenya- Samburu Game Reserve
After an early morning breakfast, depart to Samburu game reserve and arrive early for lunch at the lodge, later proceed for an afternoon game drive. Explore the Samburu National Reserve located within the lands of the colorful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and which harbors a number of wildlife species rarely found elsewhere in many numbers. These include Grevy zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the Beisa oryx all species found only north of the equator. Return to the lodge in the evening, take some time to enjoy the beautiful setting of the northern Kenya landscape. Complete the day with sumptuous Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Full board.

Day 8: Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, a full day of morning and afternoon game drives are
planned for you. Your guide will display and explain the majesties of the reserve such as Ewaso Nyiro River which rises some hundreds of kilometres to the west on the foothills of the Aberdare’s and which vanishes beyond Samburu in the recesses of the Lorian Swamp. Animals commonly seen in Samburu National Reserve include elephants, lions, cheetahs, gerenuks, buffalos, grants gazelles, giraffes, dik diks and waterbucks. There are over 350 varieties of birds. These include the famous Somali Ostriches (distinguished by their unique purple/blue legs during mating season), kingfishers, humming birds, eagles,
guinea fowls and vultures. Optional activites include a visit to a local Samburu village, camel riding and guided nature and bird walks. Guests return to the lodge late afternoon and complete the day with sumptuous Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Full board.

Day 9: Samburu – Lake Nakuru National park.
After the morning breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Lake Nakuru National park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch depart for an afternoon game drive, the park is famous for its high population of greater and lesser flamingoes which turns the lake pink, and it was first gazzetted in 1960 as a bird’s sanctuary, before it was upgraded to a full National park in 1968. Apart from great numbers of birds the Park is also home to plain game animals and also with luck one can set eye on the rare White rhinoceros, or the Rothschild giraffe. Still, lucky enough you may come out of the park triumphant having spotted the 'BIG FIVE’ Dinner and overnight at the lodge: FB

After breakfast check out from the hotel and depart to the Great SeventhWonder of the World Masai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Later proceed for an afternoon game drive in Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. Dinner and overnight at the lodge: FB

Day 11: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
Enjoy a Full day morning and afternoon game drives exploring the park in search of the big 5. Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 470 per person. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: various species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra etc., 400 species of birds can be identified. Optional visit to a local Maasai village performing their cultural dances can be organised. Dinner and overnight at the lodge: FB

Day 12: Departure to Nairobi
Early morning game drive then back to the lodge for breakfast, check out from the hotel and depart to Nairobi and be dropped at the airport for your flight back home.
